Daniel Kreiss' research interests include the cultural history of technology in regard to race, journalism, political representation, and identity. Daniel graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Bates College in 1999 with a B.A. in Political Science, and earned an M.A. in Communication (Journalism) from Stanford University in 2004.
Prior to entering the Ph.D. program, Daniel spent a number of years in non-profit management and politics in New York City . He has also served as a political journalist and blogger, including covering the 2004 Democratic primaries and the Democratic National Convention. Daniel's work has been featured in The Washington Post and National Journal among other publications.
